I'd walked by this same spot a few years ago on my way back from the Pine Tree Arch and imagined this setting as being on an old movie or TV show from long ago. The riders would be on horse, taking views while heading to whatever location across the desert prairieland with sandstone fins on either side. Well, not off into the sunset as this would be a view to the northeast :-)

The Watcher

That moment when you visit a place which you had only seen in magazines and articles. I was astonished to see the Delicate Arch in Utah with my own eyes. It was a different world all together. The trail that leads you to the arch, obscures any distant views of its grandeur. Like as if it was hidden in Nature’s pristine shore. Upon reaching, a monolith arch reveals itself against the setting sun. Something I’ve never experienced before. I felt I belonged to something bigger than the world. Delicate against the forces of nature, yet grandiose in appearance. Then the darkness engulfed the landscape. A cosmic invasion. I stood still by its side, in the moon’s silver rays, and watched the magical unfolding of the astral world.
