The Cuyahoga Valley National Park has some surprisingly (to me, I guess) fun and interested hikes. This is from a hike on the Ledges Trail a couple months ago in late summer.

This photograph was made on Kodak Ecktachrome 400 slide film, developed and scanned by TheFINDLab, and then converted to B&W. This roll of slide film was overexposed causing the colors of this roll to be pretty heavily shifted towards green. I guess since it's winter now, this image just really was begging to be made in black in white.

A couple months ago on a nice weekend afternoon we went walking around Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This was taken from an often photographed perch near the ledges trail. The sun wasn't quite setting yet, but we were hungry so...we didn't wait any longer. This still turned out OK considering the film was 20 years expired. I massively overexposed most of this roll since I wasn't quite sure how it would turn out but in actuality I should have just shot it at box speed and it probably would have been pretty much fine. Many thanks to TheFindLab for doing the best they could with it.

Made with my Canon EF on Ektachrome 400 that expired in 1994! Processed normally in E-6 even though it looks a bit xpro (cross-processed) here...

We had a beautiful hike at Cuyahoga Falls National Park a couple weeks ago. The leaves on these maples (?) were spectacular! It's honestly hard to do them justice in this photograph.

The falls a few days after a good bit of rain. Very nice flow. I was experimenting with ND Filters and the shutter speed. I loiked the 1/4 second the best on these.

Found an Open Area

Between the crowds and the white plastic crowd control chains it was tough to find a place to get an open view of Nickel Plate Road 765 during the photo runbys at Boston Mill on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. By standing (or in this case sitting on the ground) just beyond the station, I was able to get that open view that minimized those annoying plastic chains.

A different perspective of the familiar Blue Hen Falls. On my way up the trail from Blue Hen Falls I stopped over by the top of the falls. This is the "mini" waterfall before it spills over to the main waterfall.
